Screened Porch Construction
Screened Porch Construction
A screened porch can create a comfortable place to gather while maintaining a connection to the outdoors. MP Diversified Services welcomes screened porch projects in New Castle County and the Brandywine Valley.
Treat the porch as part of the house
Rooflines, ceiling height, door placement and views influence how a porch feels. The connection to the home and the relationship to an existing deck or patio deserve early attention. Screening an existing structure and building a new roofed porch are different scopes.
Explore the scope of your project
- New screened porch construction
- Assessment of existing outdoor structures for conversion
- Screen openings, doors and finish carpentry
- Coordination with adjacent decks and patios
Before we prepare a proposal
Share photographs, approximate dimensions and whether you want a new structure or a conversion. Supporting foundations, framing, roof connections and drainage must be considered before the finish selections. Discuss electrical or lighting needs as part of the proposed scope.
Can my existing deck become a screened porch?
Possibly, but a deck should not be assumed to support the additional roof and enclosure. The existing construction needs evaluation, and the proposal should account for any required changes to supports, framing and connections.
